More about Werkara →Cleaning, exactly the way your home needs it.
Every cleaner on Werkara sets out what they offer — you pick what fits. The most booked cleaning services across Switzerland:
Regular home cleaning
Weekly or every second week: kitchen, bathroom, floors and dusting — the same cleaner, at the time that suits you.
End-of-tenancy cleaning
The full clean before you hand back the flat. Ask whether the cleaner offers a handover guarantee (Abnahmegarantie) and agree a fixed price.
Windows and frames
Windows, frames, shutters and blinds — once or twice a year, or before a move.
Deep cleaning
Kitchen and bathroom descaling, oven, fridge and the corners regular cleaning does not reach.
Ironing and laundry
Washing, ironing and folding — at your place, alongside the cleaning or on its own.
Help after renovation
Dust and paint traces after the painters or a small renovation, so the rooms are usable again.
From post to a clean home in three steps.

House cleaning in Switzerland — your questions
How much does a cleaner cost in Switzerland?
You agree the price directly with the cleaner. As a guide, regular home cleaning costs around CHF 30–40 an hour, deep and window cleaning CHF 35–45 an hour, and end-of-tenancy cleaning is usually quoted as a fixed price for the whole flat. Posting a task and receiving offers is free.
What does end-of-tenancy cleaning include?
Everything the landlord checks at the handover: kitchen including oven and extractor hood, bathroom with descaling, windows, frames and shutters, floors, cupboards inside and out, and often the balcony and cellar. Agree the scope and a fixed price in advance, and ask whether the cleaner offers a handover guarantee.
Do I have to register a cleaner with the AHV?
If you employ a cleaner yourself, a private household must pay AHV contributions from the first franc and register with its cantonal compensation office. Taskers on Werkara work as independent providers and are responsible for their own taxes and insurance; for a regular weekly cleaner, the compensation office decides the status in case of doubt. Our guide to the CHF 2 500 rule explains the details.
Do I need to provide cleaning products?
Agree it in the chat before the first visit. Many cleaners bring their own products and equipment; others use what you have at home — some clients prefer that for allergies or specific surfaces.
Can I book the same cleaner regularly?
Yes. Most households book one cleaner on a fixed day — weekly or every second week — and keep them as long as it works. You agree the schedule and the key handover directly.
How quickly will I get offers?
Most cleaning tasks across Switzerland receive first replies within hours. For an end-of-tenancy clean, post the task as early as possible: the last days of the month are the busiest.
Who pays the Werkara fee?
Not you. Posting a task is free for clients, and Werkara adds nothing to the price. Cleaners pay Werkara 9 % of the task amount after a completed task.
